Te Arawa Fisheries Scholarship Programme

Nou te rourou noku te rourou, ka ora ai te iwi
With your basket and my basket, the iwi will thrive
Te Te Arawa 500 Scholarship was created in 2010 with the goal of supporting 500 Te Arawa people into skilled employment by 2020. Each year, for the past 10 years, we have offered scholarships to the value of $1000 to our teritary students. All successful applicants were required to attend a wānanga held on a different Te Arawa Marae each year. The wānanga was an important aspect of the scholarship as it provided a support system which enabled students to reconnect to their whakapapa and whenua. With 2020 now upon us, this scholarship programme is now at an end. We are currently reviewing programme outcomes to showcase the success of our tauira. Once complete, this review will be available on our website.
Na reira, kia piki te ora me te maramatanga, me nga manaakitanga a te runga rawa ki runga i a koutou katoa.
