TE ARAWA FISHERIES IWI PARTNERSHIP PROGRAMME

The Te Arawa Fisheries Iwi Partnership Programme seeks to establish partnerships between Te Arawa Fisheries and Representative Iwi Organisations that will deliver community projects that provide direct social benefits to iwi members. Talk to your Representative Iwi Organisation if you have a project that might be suitable. For more information on who your Iwi Representative is please contact our office.

KAIMOANA FOR TANGIHANGA

However small, it is precious (every contribution is appreciated)
We provide 20kg of frozen fish fillets for all tangihanga held on a Te Arawa Marae or 10kg of Fish fillets for all tangihanga held at home within the Te Arawa region. Please call 07 349 3227 (during business hours) with details of the tangihanga to arrange collection. Please do not contact others to make these arrangements. Please note the following:
  • This fish is only for tangihanga.
  • Tangihanga must be held on a Te Arawa Marae or home within the Te Arawa region, relevant to the 10 constituent iwi on Te Kotahitanga o Te Arawa Fisheries Trust Board.
  • 20kg of frozen fish fillets will be allocated to tangihanga held on the Marae.
  • 10kg of frozen fish fillets will be allocated to tangihanga held at home within Te Arawa region.
  • Only the office or after hours delegate can authorise collection.
  • Fish can be collected from Rotorua or Tauranga following authorisation.

We provide small koha to events that support Te Arawa iwi members directly.  This fund is only for kaupapa that fit strict guidelines set out by our Trustees and must benefit the wider Te Arawa community and not individuals or individual whānau Should you wish to apply for a koha please contact our Office Administrator to discuss the process.
