OUR WHY

The first Te Arawa Fresh Seafood store opened at the Redwoods Shopping Centre in April of 2013. Te Arawa Fisheries chairman, at the time Ron Roberts, is quoted as saying said: “We are committed to the development of Te Arawa people and the Rotorua community as a whole, and believe our Te Arawa Fresh store will make a positive contribution to the region.” That commitment continues today with two retail stores and a seafood truck that visits locations out of town each week. Our retail business provides stable employment for more than 10 staff members and ensures Te Arawa and the wider Rotorua community have access to fresh, healthy kaimoana year round. With an online shopping facility about to be launched sign up for our e-panui for all the latest news.

WHAT WE DO

With two Rotorua locations that specialise in Fish n Chips and fresh seafood we are committed to providing quality seafood and fish n chips. From catch to window we ensure sustainability and freshness are maintained at all times by working closely with fishers, suppliers, and iwi. Our mobile seafood truck is on the road weekly to provide kaimoana to those out of Rotorua.
