There is still time to submit your nomination form to become a representative on the Te Kotahitanga o Te Arawa Waka Fisheries Trust board.

Nominations must be submitted to the Trust Board office by 5pm, 29 July, 2022. The form can be downloaded and filled out here.

One seat is allocated to each of the 10 iwi represented by the Trust.

These are Ngāti Pikiao, Ngāti Rangitihi, Ngāti Rangiteaorere, Ngāti Rangiwewehi, Ngāti Tahu Ngāti 

Whaoa, Tūhourangi, Ngāti Tarawhai, Ngāti Waitaha, Ngāti Makino, and Ngāti Whakaue.

The Election Date is 16 September, 2022. The elected term for the new representatives is three years, expiring in 2025.

Te Kotahitanga o Te Arawa Waka Fisheries Trust governs the Te Arawa Fisheries Group and delivers benefits to Te Arawa descendants through programmes, Iwi partnerships and the provision of kaimoana to tangihanga.
