Te Kotahitanga o Te Arawa Waka Fisheries Trust Board gives notice of its upcoming election to fill all 10 seats on the Trust Board.
One seat is allocated to each of the 10 Iwi Represented by the Trust. These are Ngāti Pikiao, Ngāti Rangitihi, Ngāti Rangiteaorere, Ngāti Rangiwewehi, Ngāti Tahu Ngāti Whaoa, Ngāti Tūhourangi, Ngāti Tarawhai, Ngāti Waitaha, Ngāti Makino, Ngāti Whakaue.
The Election Date is 16 September 2022. The elected term for the new representatives will expire in 2025.
Nominations for the new representatives must be in writing and submitted on the nomination form available from the Trust Board (see address below) or available on the Te Arawa Fisheries website, www.tearawafisheries.co.nz.
All nomination forms must be received at the Trust Board office by 5pm, 29 July, 2022.
New registrations from potential adult beneficiaries must be received by the Trust Board for election purposes by 12 August, 2022 to enable verification and election voting slips to be sent. Voting opens on 22 August, 2022.
