Kia Ora e Te iwi,
I’m a 45 year old father of six beautiful children and have one atāhua mokopuna.
I was born and raised in Rotorua (Ohinemutu and Koutu) and played many sports growing up; rugby, touch, basketball and league to name a few – I believe it’s an important part of life. I’ve ensured all my tamariki are involved with their choice of code, rugby, boxing, netball, touch and waka ama to gain the benefits associated with playing sports.
On a professional level, I have numerous years of experience in business development management as well as holding management and consultant positions throughout my career.
I find myself being fortunate enough to have been given an opportunity to help develop and further progress Te Arawa Fisheries Mahi Ltd.
I’m excited about the ‘Wero’ that lies before me and I am passionate about assisting our people into employment. I’m certainly looking forward to the journey ahead.
Ngā mihi,
Richie Ngatai
